Books

Anyone have any suggestions for good new children's books? Freddy is LOVING reading these days (we love it too!), filling in the blanks if you let him, requesting specific books, and sometimes trying to read them by himself. I love that he now knows if a book is upside-down and will flip it if it is. He likes to make the noises (like "chicka chicka boom boom") and thinks it's funny if you say them out of context. We need to figure out how to get a bookshelf in the den!

virginia...didn't we send you a copy of "i love you stinkyface?" if not, let me know, cuz we have a few copies of it (we love it and bought a few extra to give to friends who are having babes).

i agree with em. the sandra boynton books are wonderful! liam loves them, especially "barnyard dance", "pajama time", and "hippos go berserk".

liam is totally grooving on "how does a dinosaur say goodnight?". he begs us to read it to him.

and we have to hide "does a kangaroo have a mother, too?". otherwise, he wants me to read it to him all day. lol
we hide it and pull it out when it is needed (meltdowns, fussiness, etc.).

aaaaaaaaand. have you see the richard scarry's "best word book ever"? it is great, too.

oh! lol i just saw that author on em's suggestion, too. so basically...what she said.

i hope your weekend was great!
